By Kathy Reynolds

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (abc40) — Police need your help to catch a killer.

Julian Cartie, 25, of New Britain, Conn., was gunned down near the corner of State and Main streets Feb. 22 shortly after 2 a.m.

Police say a blue 2006 Honda Civic passed by Cartie and his friends and that Cartie tried to engage the women in the car in conversation.  Police said the lone man in the car then got out and shot Cartie four times.

The gunman is described as a 5-foot-7-inch to 5-foot-9-inch Hispanic male in his early twenties with short hair, clean shaven and with a slight build.
