Irene’s Rain Causing Headaches in Franklin County

BUCKLAND, Mass. (WGGB) — Irene’s rainfall has created a number of problems across the area, including Buckland and western Franklin County.

abc40′s Tricia Taskey reports that the Deerfield River is running very high, with it spilling over its banks in some cases. On Lower Street in Buckland, she reports that some people had to be rescued from the flooded-out neighborhood.

A portion of Route 112 in Buckland is now “completely gone,” she reports.

Tricia is in Franklin County and will have a complete report coming up on abc40 News at 6:00 p.m.
