9/11 Golf Tournament

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WGGB) — The first annual Western Mass 9/11 Tribute Golf Outing was held Friday, September 9 at the Ranch in Southwick.  Golfers from all over came out to support the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  Many New England athletes came out in support as well like former Patriot Joe Andruzzi and former Red Sox pitcher Bill Lee.

The proceeds of the tournament benefits two local charities; the Daniel Trant Scholarship Fund and the Jean Roger Scholarship Fund.

People took the day to remember and support all those who lost people on 9/11. Joe Andruzzi has three brothers that are New York City firemen. One of his brothers ran out of one of the buildings as it was collapsing while responding that day.
