Springfield Falcons President and GM Bruce Landon talks about the 2011 Season

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WGGB) — The Springfield Falcons were on the Mass Mutual Center ice Wednesday morning tending to their appointed rounds.

Like it always does, a new year brings a lot of new faces, and among those faces are a host of Calder Cup Champions.

ABC40′s Scott Coen sat down with Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon to talk about the upcoming season, and just how close the Falcons came to not playing in Springfield at all.

Landon said this years Falcons team is loaded with veteran leadership, as well as young players like former UMass Minuteman goaltender Paul Dainton.

Tonight on ABC40 at 6pm you’ll hear from some of the Falcons players as they prepare for a three games in three nights weekend.
