Mayor Sarno: No School Monday in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA (wggb) — During an interview this morning on ABC 40, Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno announced that there will be no school tomorrow in Springfield.

Mayor Sarno says between the downed trees, power lines, and piled up snow, it’s just too dangerous. He urged extreme caution around power lines, which might be hidden by debris. The Mayor says the National Guard has already been called in and will be staging at the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Just use your common sense. If there’s no electricity for days then chances are schools will remain closed.
