Oh please to those who are struggling with having halloween cancelled and a problem being told you can’t get free candy… I would rather have my children safe from fallen branches and power lines then never be able to hug them and I would rather take them up to the store and buy them a stupid candy bar instead of buying a coffin. Yeah im sure christmas is at risk to be cancelled… over react much. Happy halloween fool! Use your head and keep your families safe

People need to use their heads and with all the downed power lines and large trees oit would be very dangerous to go trick or treating. It’s a rather dangerous activity in the ight of the crime situation and the results of the storm make it worse. We don’t want to end up with fatalities over this!parents, use your good sense!

Agreed. Also the holiday has some religious meaning to some people. Next thing if we have a storm on Christmas I guess people will try to postpone that also.

Why does this state think they can stop people from doing what they want to? you can’t “cancel” something you have no control over. Yes you can advise people not to, but u cant cancel it. They have no control over what other people decide to do with their kids or their evening. bottom line, people are going to do what they want!

This year let the treat be within the safety of you own homes. It will not affect the community at all if halloween was cancel for outdoors giving. Each family can still enjoy the celebration in their homes or alternative safe place with warm cider and treats. Lets keep our children safe and stay off the streets until everything returns back to normal
