AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) — UMASS Amherst will open and classes will resume on Tuesday, November 1st. following the weekend snowstorm.

The university advises everyone exercise caution in deciding whether it’s safe to commute to campus.

To support students living off campus, the school is opening its Campus Center/Student Union complex 24 hours per day until further notice.  There, students can use study rooms, charge cell phones, get bottled water and have a hot meal.
