SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB- 11/29) —

Cops say 49-year old Francisco Correa is a real thug.

“Drug dealer, gang member and he’s kind of insidious because he’s in a wheelchair. He’s partially disabled but when it comes to assaulting his victim’s he gets up with a pipe or whatever and whacks him,” said Springfield Police Sergeant John Delaney.

Cops say Correa has done that twice to the same victim.

The first time was back in May. The 57 year old victim worked at this Liberty Street food mart with Correa’s girlfriend.

“Mr Correa would come and bother his girlfriend at work and sell drugs in the parking lot. We’ll the guy at Tedesci didn’t want that so he had to fire the girlfriend and Correa became incensed. He waited for him one day, approached him and when the victim least expected it Correa got out of his wheelchair and whacked him in the head,” explained Delaney.   The victim was hit so hard, he had to got to the hospital.

Then 5-months later he had another unfortunate run-in with Correa in this Walgreen’s Parking lot.

“Mr Correa had words with him again. Then got up out of his chair again, he had a leather strap with a piece of metal at the end and hit him with it and it damaged the side of his face,” said Delaney.

Cops have been looking for Francisco Correa since.   They say he’s notorious and needs to be taken off the streets.

“He’s using his diablity to break the law and we can’t put up with that,” added Delaney.

So keep your eye’s open in case you cross paths with this wanted criminal.   Your tip could help put him behind bars.
