Free Cab Rides On New Year’s Eve

HAMPDEN COUNTY, Mass. (WGGB) —  The Massachusetts State Police will be adding more patrols this holiday weekend to catch drunk drivers and prevent accidents.  They’re urging drivers to plan ahead.

“If you are gonna go out and attend a party and you are gonna be drinking on New Year’s Eve we recommend that you designate a driver or stay where you are once you get there,” said Sgt. Alan Joubert. Mass. State Police.

If you’ve had too much to drink you can call Yellow Cab for a free ride.  The free rides run from 8 p.m. New Year’s Eve to 6 a.m. New Year’s Day.

The free cab rides include Hampden County,  South Hadley and Granby.  The driver will drop a person off at the home address on a Massachusetts ID.

Their number is 413-739-9999.
