Accident In Hadley Shuts Down Route 9

HADLEY, MA (WGGB) — Police in Hadley are investigating an early morning car accident that sent two people to the hospital.
The single car crash happened just after Midnight on Monday. Police tell us the car collided with a telephone pole in front of the Applebees Restaurant.
Two men were inside, one of them had to LifeFlighted to a nearby hospital, the extent of their injuries is unknown.
While Firefighters rescued the two men, portions of Route 9 were shut down for several hours, they have since re-opened.
I was driving by two hours after it had occurred and it looked pretty nasty! Debris were all over and the car looked destroyed. Hope they will be ok!
