West Springfield Hometown Buffet Closes

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Buffets Inc. has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in order to eliminate approximately $245 million worth of debt. Part of the restructuring of the corporation includes the immediate closing of 81 out of nearly 500 restaurants.

This includes the Hometown Buffet on Riverdale Street in West Springfield.

Buffets Inc. is a parent company of Hometown Buffet, Old Country Buffet, Ryan’s, and Fire Mountain brands.
