SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Two men accused of starting a Monday afternoon brawl in a Springfield courtroom have faced a judge.
Tuesday morning, 42 year-old Kenneth Soto and 45 year-0ld Edwin Rojas were back at Springfield District Court to face their own charges.
Soto was charged with assault and battery on a public employee, assault and battery, and disrupting a court proceeding. Rojas was charged with assault and battery on a public employee, resisting arrest, and disrupting a court proceeding.
Monday afternoon, Soto and Rojas were in court for the arraignment of Jose Santiago, who was accused of killing their daughter and step-daughter. Soto and Rojas then allegedly tried to Santiago shortly after he was brought into the courtroom.
Police allege that Santiago killed his girlfriend, Jessica Rojas, early Saturday morning in her Washburn Street home. She leaves behind four children.
Both men were released on their personal recognizance and are due back in court April 10.
I can’t blame them
These men should not be charged. It was their daughter for god’s sake. The justice system sucks I hope they drop the charges god bless the family and friends of Jessica Rojas take some peace in knowing she is in heaven now.
They should have let him beat him for a few minutes. Hopefully in jail he gets what’s comming to him.
They should of let them take all the pain an anger on that baster he took his daughters life an I am sorry I didn’t see no 1 resisting arrest matter of fact the officer was rough on them guys
This family is dealing with the unimaginable. I would have done the SAME exact thing. He took a mother away from her children, and a child away from her parents. He is a poor excuse ft a human being. I hope and pray that he spends the rest of his god given life behind bars and when he dies he will burn in hell. RIP Jessica, from a chestnut classmate.

I know that we as Christians are supposed to forgive. I would have been the one asking God for forgiveness because I would have done it as well. We can’t blame the Devil and Demons for everything, because we have free will and choose our paths. If he WAS influenced by evil, he still made the choice. I would have made him pay for his choice. no it wont bring her back but maybe for a min he can get a sense of the pain he caused her as he abused her and know that was only a once of what she and her family will feel forever, especially her children and parents. wrong or not..

I get why they did what did, I know if I was in their shoes Id have a hard time controlling myself. But despite that, they have to have order in that room, otherwise it would be chaos and others could get hurt.
I honestly don’t blame them for doing what they did. I couldn’t imagine being in their shoes. The court officers should have been more prepared for that but I am glad they got in one good punch before it got broke up.

I would have strangled that mother F-er.i am glad the father was released because if not a lot of people understand and agree with what he did I would have helped get that punk azz.i would have been one of the people demanding his release for the father I feel so bad for him.i sort of know that feeling of losing someone.in Iraq I lost good friends and I wanted to get revenge so bad it hurts.
I would have done the same thing. The hurt and dis-pared one have to feel when you loose a child in that manner. I hope the dads had a chance to hit, at least, one blow to that trash. The sad thing is that we are going to have to pay for him to be in jail probably for the rest of his miserable life. My prayers go to her family and her children. She was a young woman and am sure she probably had babies.

THEY HOPEFULLY WILL NOT BE CHARGED.. MAYBE FOR DISrupting court.. but i would do same only i would have reached him and stabbed him up… law should be eye for an eye.. bet you crime will go down by 60%!!! maybe even more.
