March Madness from the Weather Dept!

Prepare yourselves to be amazed today!  It will be about as warm as a winter day gets around here.  With sunshine, temperatures soar to near 70 here in the Connecticut River Valley this afternoon.  The record high temperature for today in Chicopee stands at 65 degrees set back in 1977.  Except for some occasional thin clouds, skies stay bright.  Keep in mind the later sunrise (7:06 AM) and sunset (6:54 PM) times for today too!

A weather disturbance moves through late tonight and another one late tomorrow.  Both bring the chance for a few showers with the second even bringing a rumble of thunder in spots.  In-between, tomorrow ends up mainly dry and very mild once again.  Highs could again approach 70 degrees, though unlike today, tomorrow’s record high of 74 appears safe.

The unusually mild weather will continue right into the upcoming St. Patrick’s weekend!
