Springfield Man Arrested for Assaulting Girlfriend, Police Officers

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield police arrested a man after they said he assaulted his girlfriend on Saturday night. The girlfriend called police saying she was being held by her boyfriend.

The two were at 66 Stockman Street in Springfield. When police got there the man jumped out a window from the third story and assaulted the police officers.

Those officers were brought to Baystate Medical Center.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody.
