SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The man accused of being the getaway driver in a March bank robbery in Longmeadow has been arraigned in court after his weekend arrest.
Longmeadow Police allege that he drove the getaway car after a bank robbery of the Berkshire Bank on Longmeadow Street in Longmeadow on March 24.
The accused robber, Desiree Ferreira, was arrested last week. However, Longmeadow Police were still looking for Morse.
Morse was picked up Saturday night after a traffic stop in Holyoke.
A not guilty plea was entered Monday in Springfield District Court, and Morse remains held on $100,000 bail.
Morse is the brother of Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse.
The Mayor has said in previous statements that his brother Doug has struggled with addiction his entire adult life.
Morse is due back in court in early May.
