..and you're right -the Government does want to force this issue. Washington has in fact been trying (unsuccessfully) to pass legislation to take the peoples right away from saying no to these projects. What do you think will happen if these fail at helping this country with their energy needs, fail at cutting Co2 emissions, and we have no money left to fund projects that do work?

If you feel passionate enough to respond to this story, use that passion to get the facts. Your electric bills will not be going down they will in fact be going up. Billions of dollars of your money is being handed over (usually to large corporations) to fund wind. Wind will not shut down a single coal plant, nuke plant, hydro plant, etc., (and in fact most of these plants will have to work harder because wind is so unstable. ) Which is ironic since wind developers are also receiving billions in carbon tax credits. Does that make sense?

Head to Jimny Peak. There's about a dozen wind turbines out there. The view is still great.

Nothing is free Greg, nothing. Renewable ,yes I want that as well as others but at a reasonable cost. Look at the cost of the solar power on your roof. Roughly 30,000 grand average. But with the incentives maybe it'll cost you a little more than 1/2 of the cost. Finance the 15 to 18 grand and pay a monthly fee for what 5 years while still paying a electric bill . Though the bill is lower now add the monthly fee for the financing of the system. Did you really save anything . NO because you will always have a electric bill there is no sun out at night. Add battery packs to the system and look out the cost of the whole system sky rockets. Reasonably priced alternative energy is what we need not some crazy ass price energy that the ordinary citizen can not afford.
