Several People Rescued From Enfield, CT Crash

ENFIELD, CT (WGGB) — Four people were taken to Baystate Medical Center after a serious accident on Washington Rd.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

The victims were trapped inside the car.

“This was a little bit of a prolonged extrication.  A little bit more than normal, but everyone is at this point stable, as far as I am told,” said SGT. Charles Grasso.

The car struck a pole, which was hanging only by the wires.  Connecticut Light and Power is on scene.

Police are reconstructing the accident and expect to be there for several hours.

Washington Rd. will be closed while the investigation is on going.
