SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — South Carolina police will be making a trip up to Massachusetts after Springfield police arrested a wanted man from Jasper County, SC early this morning.

Torrance Yarberough, 29, was pulled over by state police around one a.m. on I-291 in Springfield.

He was facing felony heroin charges in South Carolina and wanted for drug trafficking. Springfield police also found marijuana on him when he was pulled over.

Yarberough currently lives in Hartford and will be charged later today as a fugitive. He will be held in Springfield until authorities from South Carolina arrive.
