Georgia Man Arrested, Police Find $15,000 Worth of Stolen Goods in His Vehicle

Hadley, Mass. (WGGB) — Hadley police make major arrest after finding thousands of dollars worth of stolen merchandise in a vehicle.

Police say 40 year-old Anthony Hodge of Georgia was caught stealing from Walmart.

When they searched his car Monday morning, police found over $15,000 worth of stolen merchandise from a number of different retail stores.

They also found evidence that Hodge may be linked to other thefts from across the country because along with the stolen merchandise, officers found a variety of tools and materials that are used to manipulate packaging and security systems.

Police believe it was an organized crime.

Hodge is currently being held on charges including larceny over $250.00, possession of burglarious instrument, being a common and notorious thief, and receiving stolen property over $250.00
