Arrest Gone Wrong in West Springfield

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — An arrest goes wrong in Springfield. Trouble happened when police went to arrest Edwin Santos on drug charges. Police say the Holyoke man started ramming his car into police cars. An FBI agent fired his gun, but Santos took off on Route 5. He hit two cars on the way.
Police eventually caught him in an apartment complex that Santos had forced his way into. Santos faces several charges including assault on a police officer.
No one was hurt in the incident.
