Melha Shriners Carnival is Here for the Weekend
July 6th, 2012
Springfield, Mass. (WGGB) — If you’re looking for something to do with your kids this weekend check out the Melha Shriners Carnival…it’s in town!
The carnival started tonight and all the proceeds go to the Melha Shriners, a group dedicated to the patients at Shriners Hospital for children in Springfield.
Greg who went with his son but declined to give us his last name says, “It’s great, it’s great for the kids, great for the family. It gives people stuff to do.”
Russ Mitchell with the Shriners Hospital told us, “It means a good time, that’s what we’re here for. We’re not here for a long time, we’re here for a good time.”
The carnival is in the old Circuit City parking lot on Boston Road in Springfield.
It’ll be open Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
