Infant Found Alone in Car in Boston

BOSTON (AP) — Boston police say a 9-month-old baby was checked out at a hospital after his mother left him alone in a car for about a half hour while she went to the supermarket.
Police say two store security guards noticed the little boy in the car at about 1 p.m. Sunday outside the Whole Foods Market at the Charles River Plaza.
Outside temperatures were in the 80s at the time.
The alert baby was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital as a precaution.
When they found the mother, she said she forgot the child was in the back of her car.
She was not charged but police say they will refer the incident to state child welfare authorities.

I raised two children, worked full time and had a lot on my mind, but never once FORGOT I had a child in the car!! What the hell is wriong with people? Where are their priorities?
I wish there was some way to educate parents and caregivers on this subject. It seems no matter what you say, they think it is not going to happen to their child, or pet.

I’m sorry, but how do you forget that your child is with you. Come on! Then you shouldn’t have one then.
I have 2 childreb, single mom, work full time, abs go to school at night. I have never forgotten that I had my child with me, let alone just straight out leave them in a car. I have a lot on my mind constantly but none the less do not forget I brought my kid somewhere with me.
The child need to be taken away

It amazes me you need a license to fish or drive a car but not one to have kids which some people obviously should need. How the hell do you forget your own kid in the car. Should have there heads checked out.
