Crime Files: Alexis Javier Colon

SPRINGFIELD (WGGB) – Police say 30 year-old Alexis Colon was completely unaware that he was walking into a prostitution sting when he drove up alongside a female at the corner of Locust Street and Acushnet Avenue. The woman was an officer posing as a prostitute with the intention of nabbing Johns who frequent the South End trying to pick up girls.

“He pulled up, offered her money in exchange for sex.” Sergeant John Delaney says. ” Then she said I will meet you around the corner.”

Instead, Colon was immediately confronted by the police and promptly arrested. What’s more, officers found several Oxycontin pills in the vehicle he was driving. Arrested on sexual solicitation and drug charges, Colon never showed up for his court date.

Police believe Colon may still be in the Springfield area and his last known address was on Dwight Street. If you know anything about the whereabouts of Alexis Colon send a tip to C-R-I-M-E-S.
