Plane Lands Safely After Diverted to Boston
July 31st, 2012
BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts officials say a United Airlines flight that was diverted to Boston because of a suspicious item found in an unclaimed seat has landed safety and the item has turned out to be a camera.
State police spokesman Thomas Murphy said the camera will be X-rayed and inspected.
Police say United Airlines Flight 956 was heading from Newark, N.J., to Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday when it was diverted to Logan International Airport in Boston.
Massachusetts Port Authority spokesman Richard Walsh said the plane landed safely Tuesday night and would be checked by law enforcement officials at a staging area.

Y DO THEY ALWAYS SEND THEM THERE
How did.this suspicious item even make it on the plane with our “beefed up security”??
I was just going to say how did this make it on the plane?whats up with security …scarry!
Heard what sounded like F-15′s flying overhead about 45 minutes ago heading east. Wonder if they were scrambled out of Barnes?
@ Joe, heard the same thing…
they were heading that way
im not being paranoid just stating that two fighter jets went screaming towards boston and I was in worcester so i dont think they practice that far away
They don’t practice that late at night Ross. I’ve never seen a night performance at an airshow.
They came out of Barnes full speed
Lol the “suspicious” item was just a camera. Someone is feeling like a total jackass right now.
ross, it is the government sheep that still believe they have all of our interests at heart !!!
Thought they were just practicing
Ross the ironic thing is that 911 wasnt about explosives. It was box cutters.
Wonder what he would do if he walked outside his door and found a sealed box open it or take precautionary measures hey its a 50% chance right either something good or kaboom no more
