There were 14 houses, 16 residential lots, 13 commercial lots and one commercial property on the auction block.
Auctioneers and buyers say events like this can have a great outcome for everyone involved.
“It’s a win-win situation,” said James Chiccino of Daniel Flynn Auction Company. “It’s a win for the city because they get a quick infusion of cash, and they get the property back on the tax rolls again.”
“I think it’s a great opportunity,” said buyer Stephen Wagner. “I mean, it’s not as easy when you start rehabbing it. The city makes you jump through a few hoops. It can get a little bit complicated, but if you can get through it, it’s a great opportunity.”
