World’s Highest Swing-Set Ride Approved

AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB) — Agawam has given Six Flags New England the green light to build the world’s highest swing-set ride.

Monday night, the town’s zoning board unanimously approved a special permit for construction of the 385-foot-tall swing set ride, called the “Star Flyer.”

A special permit was needed because it involves building a structure 200 feet or higher.

The zoning board also attached the condition that Six Flags can built up to 410 feet high without coming back before the board.

Park officials didn’t indicate when the new attraction will be up and running.
