PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — One of the three pit bull dogs accused of attacking a 9-year-old Pittsfield boy has been euthanized while the others will be moved out of state.
The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/PF40Nk) reports that one dog was euthanized on Friday, while the other two will be relocated to a Schenectady, N.Y. home under settlement reached this week between the city and the animals’ owners.
The dogs are American Staffordshire terriers, one of several breeds referred to as pit bulls.
Police say the dogs attacked the boy June 11 as he and his mother entered a common area of the multi-family home they shared with the dogs’ owners.
The owners said just one dog was involved in the attack in which the victim suffered 35 tooth punctures and lost part of his scalp.

The child was doing NOTHING to the dogs, he was entering his first floor home with his mom and the dogs jumped thru the screens of the 2nd floor porch attacked the child and drug him out into the back yard biting the living hell out of him!!!!!! Perhaps you should know the story before shooting off your mouth and blaming that poor child!!!! Clearly you are an idiot.

Every story about a dog will say that the kid or person did nothing but in all reality they did its a cover up because nobody gives a sh*t how many dogs get put to sleep just as long as the person isn’t getting anything. I’m so sick of these stories I own 5 dogs and have a stockade an kids still climb my fence an try an torture my dogs an I tell you if they bite a kid nobody will be touching my dog! And I have 5 kids so I no my dogs love kids
dogs jumped out of a 2nd floor screen, to grab a kid going into a 1st floor apt, drag him out to back yard, and attack him??? that doesn’t sound very believable or TRUTHFUL…

The fact that they moved two of the dogs out of state instead of putting them down, tells me there are some things that weren’t reported here. Also an idiot is someone who believes news stations aren’t biased and your getting the whole complete story.
Maybe the owner should’ve done a better job controlling his 3 pit bulls. And why the hell did they have 3 pits in an apartment in the first place?! That screams irresponsible dog owner. People need to get a clue.
^lol true… i got a house and 2 dogs and it still doesn’t seem big enough (and one of them is a tiny dog lol)… but seriously, i find the whole ‘dogs busting through a screen door on a second floor and draggin some kid into the backyard to attack him for absolutely no other reason but they were going into their house’ kind of hard to believe…. I wonder how long the dog owner’s lived in the apt… like, if they lived there a while and this never happened before, why would it happen now? i’m sure the dogs would have gotten use to people goign into their homes….
