Local Woman Pleads Guilty to Reckless Endangerment of a Child

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB) –  A local woman pleaded guilty Monday to reckless endangerment of a child.

34-year-old Mackenzie Tarjick admitted she never contacted authorities after learning her then-husband had repeatedly sexually abused a young girl.

Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan called the sexual abuse “horrific.”

In June, a Hampshire County jury found Tarjick’s former husband, Aaron Tarjick, guilty of 17 counts of child sex abuse.

He’s currently serving 19 to 25 years in state prison.

Mackenzie Tarjick will be sentenced in Hampshire Superior Court on August 20th.

  1. She probably used the excuse she was afraid of him, but she loved him. There sick people in this world that should not have children or be let near children.
This man should be put in general population and let the other prisoners know what he did, that way he will either die or be someone’s *****. He definitely will have no front teeth and will get what is due to him.
As for her she needs to be in jail for the rest of her life. She will not do good in prison when other inmates find out what she is in for. No one likes child molesters so she will get what is due to her. She will not last in general population.
Judges have to get stricter in these cases.
These people have taken the rights of this young person away. She is marred for life, will not trust anyone. Then these two people end up having rights. The criminal justice system is so wrong in sentencing people.
If you do a crime and found guilty you should lose all rights, no rights at all because you have imposed on someone else’s freedom.
