HOLYOKE, Massachusetts (WGGB) — A night of family fun in Holyoke Friday with a message.
The held their Back To School Family Fun Night. Rain forced the event indoors. The initiative is a partnership between the law enforcement, business and religious communities and a number of service agencies. It’s all aimed at making the South Holyoke neighborhood safer. Eddie Caisse is with the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department. He says, “We need the information from the community people who live down here on what the needs are and we need them to help us make the community safer and help us get the resources to come down.”
The first 350 school-aged children received a bag full of school supplies. And people could also register to vote in the September 6th primary.
