Mass. police say 2 die in Andover traffic accident

ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police say two people were killed in a traffic accident in Andover.

A pickup truck and a car collided Friday at the intersection of Route 125 and Wildwood Road.

A 72-year-old woman driving the car and an 82-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle were killed. State police did not release their names, pending notification of their families.

The driver of the truck was identified as 70-year-old John O’Donnell of Boxford. State police said he was not injured.

The highway was closed a few hours after the accident.
