Baby Okay After Grandmother ‘Forgets’ Leaving Child Outside Local Gas Station

Springfield, Mass. (WGGB) – A baby is safe after being left in a parking lot by his grandmother Tuesday evening.
Springfield Police Captain Collins told us it happened at the Pride Gas Station on West Street around 7:30 p.m.
Collins says the grandmother had the baby outside the store in a stroller and left it.
While police were still on scene, the baby’s grandfather showed up and told police the grandmother had forgotten about the child.
Collins says the baby was only left for a short time and is now back with his mother.
glad the baby is ok and i am not sure she should be brought up on charges but come on m’am think how do you forget your grandbaby
I wonder if she has Alzheimer’s or something. That’s so sad, poor baby, I bet the grandmother feels awful

she wouldnt of forgotten him had she just brought the child and the troller in the damn store with her!!!! NO BRAINS in people these days! glad hes fine and back with his mommy. Crazy tho

Ppl need to stop judging, as usual, & get the story straight first before commenting. Who knows if the grandmother has Dementia or some sort of memory issues, it does happen when you get old you know!! At least the baby is ok, god bless her!!

I’ve seen people bring their pets inside a convenience store. Leaving a child outside is unconscionable. If the grandmother is unable to care for the child, the child shouldn’t be with the grandmother.
wow now springfield is so low u people r sticking up i dont care then the parent is wrong if they left a baby with a person withdementia come on try harder here and what store have u been to that doesnt allow strollers besides u could leave the stroller outside and carrythe kid – i dont think pride has a no stroller policy but i could be wrong – maybe she was trying to abandon the child
