Police Involved Shooting and Homicide was Justified According to Hampden District Attorney

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) The investigation into a police officer involved shooting and killing has ended in Westfield. 27-year-old Douglas S. Musto was shot and killed by police after he resisted being hand cuffed. He then stabbed an officer which is what lead the back up police officer shoot him multiple times.

The initial call was for a domestic disturbance by a female who’s ex-boyfriend tried to kick down her door and then would not leave.

The Hampden County District Attorney, Mark G. Mastroianni concluded that the homicide of Musto was legally justified.

The incident happened on April 7, 2012. at 128 Elm Street in Westfield around 2:00AM.
