Bay Path College Receives $1,000,000 Grant for Physician Program
College officials got roughly $1,000,000 for their Physician Assistant Master’s Program.
Only 12 colleges in the nation were granted this federal money. The program is basically a very small medical school and had to go through a very strict review process to get the grant, a review which Bay Path passed with flying colors.
Carol Leary, President of Bay Path College told us, “I must tell you that when we received our visit in the March of this year or rather the December of last year, they left with a flawless report. A flawless report. Let me repeat that. They left with a flawless report, they didn’t have one recommendation.”
Members of the school’s physician department say they hope to use the grant money to help the people of Hampden County get healthier.
Hampden County has been rated the worst county in the state when it comes to the overall health of its people.
