Second Robbery at Springfield’s ‘X’ Business

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Only hours after an armed robbery at Coconuts Bar and Grill on Dickinson Street in Springfield, another robbery happened a street away.

Police responded to a call just before 5:00 a.m. at Dunkin Donuts on Belmont Ave.  in the Forest Park neighborhood.

According to police, a hispanic male wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, about 30-years-old went into the restaurant implying that he had a weapon and demanded money from the cashier.

The man then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot toward Dickinson Street.  Police are still investigating this but say no one was hurt and there is no reason to believe this incident is related to the one from Monday night at Coconuts.

There are no suspects at this time.

  1. Life in this city is not going to change until people stop voting for liberal democrates. For decades and decades voters have sent weak, corrupt pols to office and then scratch their heads and wonder how this city has become one of the 10 worst cities to live in in the U.S.. Judges could care less, sending criminals back to the streets as they drive off to their homes in the suburbs followed by disinterested policemen who have no stake in the city except to draw a paycheck and a pension. Imagine this city ten years from now. Ten more years of voters checking off the liberal slate and still scratching their heads and wondering how things got so bad.
