iPhone 5 Orders Topped Two Million in 24 Hours

CUPERTINO, Calif. (CNN) — If you were thinking about pre-ordering an iPhone 5 online, you’re out of luck.

Two million people have secured their iPhone 5′s without having to stand in line.

Apple says they sold out of pre-order phones in 24 hours and they’re saving the rest for stores.

The line has already formed outside the Fifth Avenue Apple Store in Manhattan where the gadget goes on sale Friday.

Analysts say the supply in stores won’t last, expecting the iPhone 5 to be sold out by Sunday.

Most of those two million pre-orders will be delivered this Friday, but the company says some won’t ship until October.

While customers seem ready to be eating up Apple’s latest offering, reviews have been somewhat mixed.

Some reviewers who got their hands on the demo liked the slimmer, lighter design and faster processing.

Others say the iPhone 5 didn’t catch up with features available on other phones.
