Rain Totals and Wind Gusts

Springfield, Ma (wggb)- An impressive storm moved through yesterday with strong winds and heavy rain. Rain totals ranged from 1-4″ across the area. Winds gusted between 40 and 50 mph in the valley with higher gusts across the higher terrain. The strong winds brought down trees and branches knocking out power to hundreds of people. Most people now have their power back and the winds and rain are gone.

Rain Totals:

Goshen: 3.52″

Greenfield:  3.00″

Charlemont:  2.26″ 

Springfield: 2″


Peak Wind Gusts Across the State:

Cummington: 64 mph

Milton: 62 mph

Boston: 49 mph

Westfield: 48 mph

Beford: 47 mph

Beverly: 46 mph   

Springfield: 41 mph
