No this officer have been at it for years yea he make street money this is true but at the end of the day t5hat cops have done that to plenty young man and got away with it nothing was done so with that he is now facing the music as id melvin for his crime no matter his pass he is someone son someone dad and he did not deserve to be beat to that extent period point blank and those that think ot okay is just as dumb and **** he deserve that money for his pain and suffer **** that a person pride to have to walk around scared for life

@ Tom Im am not saying what Melvin did with his actions are correct, but the officers abused there powers. 4 officers were on the scene, he tried to grab the gun, but did not succeed. Ya defend urself but not beat a man till he cant see from his eye any longer, police brutality. Thats why he won in court. I am not at all sticking up for Melvin Jones, I am simply against how the officers handle them selfs in this matter. As for Melvin I’m glad he is doing time for his other actions.

3 years what a joke!!!! He is a career criminal who should get a lot more than three years. He should never have been awarded any compensation.
Once out he will continue doing the same stuff he has been doing, just that he will have a lot $$$$ to do it with.
I bet if he went to trial he would have gotten a longer sentence.
