SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A Super Bowl champion was in western Mass. Thursday.

Former NFL player Bill Romanowski was in town to celebrate his company’s partnership with Big Y.

Romanowski now owns Nutrition 53, a supplement company focused on long term health and wellness,

He says he is excited Big Y has taken his products on board.

“I’m an east coast kid. I grew up in Connecticut, so to launch our product and get distribution across the country is really exciting, and then to be partners with a company like Big Y. They’ve been great so far…a lot of nice people,” says Romanowski.

The company is named for Romanowski’s former jersey number – #53.
