Brief Standoff in Chicopee Ends with an Arrest

Chicopee, Mass. (WGGB) — Late Friday afternoon, police in Chicopee had a brief standoff at a home on Walnut Street.
That’s according to our crew who spoke with officers there.
Police were seen taking a man from the 2nd floor of the house. He is now in custody.
Springfield Police K-9 and State Police assisted at the scene which was cleared just before 6 p.m. Friday.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the standoff have not yet been released; however police do say they are investigating this incident.

I had thought it was in the apartments due to how the cruisers were positioned.
