3 Wounded in 2 Separate New Haven Shootings, Including MA Woman

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Police in New Haven are investigating two separate shootings that left three people wounded, including a woman from Massachusetts.

Police say 32-year-old Deyja Jackson is in serious condition after she was shot in the stomach on the porch of a Harding Place home shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say the Massachusetts woman was one of two people on the porch when the shooting occurred. People who called 911 reported an argument and a woman who’d been shot. There was no immediate information on Jackson’s hometown.

In a separate incident, two men aged 26 were shot and wounded in the area of Jackson Lane.

Police say Patric Mims was shot in the stomach. Gerard Butler was hit in the leg. They are in stable condition.

No one has been arrested in connection with the two incidents.

  1. Let’s see 2:30 in the morning, I would say alcohol, drugs and argument over someone hitting on her man caused this incident. Don’t you know it is not cool to hit on someone’s boyfriend or girlfriend when alcohol and drugs have been ingested and there is a gun around. Someone will be shot
