Man Dies In Westfield Car Crash

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB)- Police say that just after 2:30A.M. on Saturday morning, one person died in a car crash on Shaker Road. The accident happened near the Shaker Farms Country Club. Cops say Matthew Osienski, 29, was driving east on Shaker Farms Road when he lost control of the vehicle, slid sideways across the westbound lane, and hit a tree. Osienski was wearing a seat belt, but was pronounced dead on the scene. The road was closed for 4 hours while police conducted their investigation.

The Westfield Police and State Police continue to investigate.
