BOSTON (AP) — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren raised more than $12 million in the most recent quarter, while incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown pulled in nearly $7.5 million.
On Monday, the candidates in the hotly-contested race released their fundraising totals for the three-month period from July through September.
Warren’s campaign has now raised more than $35 million to date, while Brown’s campaign has topped $24 million. The race was already the most expensive in Massachusetts history.
A full breakdown of donations to both candidates wasn’t yet available. Brown’s campaign said more than 60 percent of donors during the most recent quarter were from Massachusetts.
Warren’s campaign said 80 percent of its donations during the July to September period were $50 or less and more than half were $25 or less.
