SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Amanda Larrivee and her brother Robert Larrivee were arrested at Samuels Sports Bar Sunday for allegedly stealing TV’s from the bathroom. Now, the woman involved is speaking out about what happened that night and the “immature” remark made by her brother.
The legal case against Amanda has been dropped, but a comment made by her brother is getting all the attention.
He told police that the two were in the bathroom having sex.
Amanda says that was not the case.
“The comment was taken out of context and it’s not what it looks like,” said Larrivee.
The story of their arrests and the sex comment sent the story viral. It’s reached Amanda’s friends and co-works in Deerfield, Florida. It’s also been picked up by the Hartford Courant, The New York Daily News, The Huffington Post and even The Daily Mail in England.
“I just want to come out and really let people know that it’s not what it looked like. It’s humiliating and the comment having sexual relations with my brother was an impulse, immature comment made by him that is not the truth,” said Larrivee.
Amanda says Robert wasn’t trying to steal the TV’s, but was upset over seeing his ex-girlfriend.
“He had an outburst at the time you know it turned into you know touching the TV on the wall, turned into an ugly scene,” said Larrivee.
“He took the televisions down. He had no intention of stealing. He’s not walking out with two televisions,” said Attorney Jack St. Clair.
St. Clair represents both Amanda and Robert.
According to the Springfield District Court Clerk’s Office, the charges of larceny over $250, against Amanda were dropped on Wednesday.
“The District Attorney’s Office did a further review of the case and after their review they decided to dismiss the case before any formal charges. She was never arraigned in the case,” said St. Clair.
Amanda says she does not blame anyone for what happened and just wants the humiliation to stop.
Robert Larrivee pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Monday. He is due back in court on December 4th.

I give this woman credit for going onscreen to clarify the story but I don’t think most of us believed that they were having ***, we mostly all believed they were trying to steal the television and he blurted out the *** excuse….hopefully forgetting he was with his SISTER! Now, do I believe they weren’t trying to steal the TV, not sure. I think it’s great that her lawyer put his TV makeup on and he had her professionally dressed to make her plea. But really, still don’t buy the “I’m innocent” act! lol
this is horrible, more media slander…wonder what the atty can do about this? i hate media slander/drama. Nancy Grace is proving to be just that. https://www.facebook.com/NancyGraceHLN/posts/294619340647440
If that was my sister I’d sleep Never mind
