Wanted: Adrian Rodriguez

SPRINGFIELD (WGGB) – Police say 19-year-old Adrian Rodriguez of Springfield has been locked up several times in the past and just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. He’s currently wanted for an armed robbery that happened September 6th in the area of Putnam Circle.

Police say the 18-year-old victim was walking from St. James Avenue to El Paso street through the Putnam Circle neighborhood. Coming from a friend’s house, he had a backpack on containing a Playstation 3.

“Adrian Rodriguez saw him walking through an intersection by himself, walked up to him and put a gun to his head and demanded the backpack,” Springfield Police Sergeant John Delaney explains. “The victim got scared, dropped the backpack and ran.”

At the police station, the victim was able to identify his attacker after flipping through hundreds of photos of possible suspects. Police consider Rodriguez to be a very dangerous man and encourage the public not to approach him – instead give the Springfield Police Department a call or text an anonymous tip to CRIMES (274637).
