Mass. Activists Attack Romney’s Record on Women

BOSTON (AP) — A liberal group in Massachusetts is delivering binders full of research on issues that concern women to the campaign headquarters of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The Saturday afternoon delivery follows Romney’s comment during the second debate that he received “binders full of women” when he sought to diversify his cabinet as Massachusetts governor. The remark sparked an instant wave of social media parodies of the phrase.

Members of ProgressMass will deliver a package that includes an extensive document outlining what the group describes as Romney’s disappointing record on various issues of primary concern to women.

Mathew Helman of ProgressMass says the women are turning the tables on Romney by presenting binders bearing his image and documents criticizing his record on women reproductive rights, workplace equality and judicial appointments.
