Springfield, Other Towns Closings Offices Early

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield is joining a growing list of cities and towns that are either closed or closing early.

At a press conference Monday morning, it was announced that Springfield City Hall and the city’s public libraries will be closing at noon.

In addition, Springfield non-essential personnel are being sent home at that time.

The town offices in Longmeadow will also be closing at 12:00 p.m.

Last night, Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse announced that Holyoke City Hall would be closed Monday.
