Today’s Forecast & Peak Wind Gusts from Sandy

Springfield, Mass (wggb) – The winds have eased however we can still expect some gusty winds, just not as strong as yesterday. In fact, a Wind Advisory remains in effect until this evening for all of western Mass.  It’s a mild, changeable morning. Showers and a few downpours will be moving through as Sandy spins across Pennsylvania . Gusty, southerly winds will help lift in mild air along with some of those tropical downpours.

Sandy is now a post tropical storm as she morphs into a powerful Mid-Latitude Cyclone. She will continue to weaken and slowly spin across the northeast for the next few days. She will keep things blustery and cloudy for the rest of the week with a few showers here and there.

Sandy continues to bring heavy, rain and wind to a large portion of the country with heavy snow and wind on the back side of the storm. Some places will be measure the snow in feet across the moutains of West Virginia and Kentucky.
