Chicopee, Mass. (WGGB) —  A house in Chicopee on Newbury Street is a new addition this year to the spooky scene.

The owner bought the home in June and says this is his first stab at decorating it.  He has a 3 year plan to expand the decorations into a full-blown haunted yard that trick-or-treaters will have to wind their way through.

But he says Superstorm Sandy nearly put a damper on this year’s plans.

“We took it all down for the storm and last night I sat up and put it all back up, cause it’s for the kids really, you know,” explains homeowner James Lavalley

Lavalley says his wife wants to go all out for Christmas, but he says that’s her holiday…he’s a bigger fan of Halloween!
