Springfield, Mass (WGGB) - November is a month of transition. It’a mainly a cloudy, cool month but it’s also a quit month. We begin November with a fall feel. High temperatures average in the mid to upper 50s but by months end it’s feeling a bit more like winter with expected highs in the lower 40s. We generally see a bit of snowfall in November as well, we average about 4″ of during the month. However an early season snowstorm can’t be ruled out. We “fall back” to Standard time the first Sunday of the month (this Sunday) so the evenings are dark and the days are short. The sun angle and length of days are equivalent to mid-January to mid-February. Election day is the first Tuesday of the month (this year November 6th) and Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of the month (this year Novermber 22nd). The holiday season starts early this year!
Have a great month! Dan Brown
