WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WGGB) — The first snowfall of the season has people thinking about putting on those snow tires.

“The morning was crazy,” said Jeff Ketcham, Manager of City Tire. “One right after the other. People call me on the phone after another, gotta get them snows on. It’s that time of year. Snows are safe.”

“I knew there was some weather coming in,” said Meghan Smith of Wilbraham. “So, my mom advised me to get my snow tires put on.”

Ketcham said snow tires make a difference especially on front wheel drive cars. He said for even more traction, about half of his snow tire customers opt for studded ones.

“Whether it’s an inch or three feet, you gotta have good tires,” he said.
